Ms. Lurena Melton

Hello! My name is Lurena Melton and I will be joining the Mendenhall family as a 4th grade science and social studies teacher. I completed my Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science at the University of North Texas with minors in history and Spanish. I discovered my passion for working with children while working in childcare and summer camps. I later returned to UNT to complete my Master’s in Education.  This will be my 4th year in education and my first year at Mendenhall. I have previously taught 6th grade reading and social studies. I am excited to be on the 4th grade team and look forward to a great year!
