Biography:

As I begin my first year at Mendenhall Elementary, I am excited to continue my role as a dedicated Physical Education teacher. After nine years at Forman Elementary, I am honored to bring my passion for student wellness and growth to a new school community.

Over the past 14 years, I have cherished the love and support of my wife. Additionally, the joy of having a grandson and two granddaughters has enriched my life beyond measure. As a University of Texas graduate, I bring a solid educational foundation and a commitment to lifelong wellness to my teaching practice.

Throughout my time in Plano ISD, it has been a pleasure to work with students and witness their growth and learning journeys. My passion for Physical Education comes from a desire to inspire and guide students towards embracing healthy and active lifestyles through engaging and enjoyable physical activities.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy outdoor activities, watching sports, running, and working around my home. These activities not only help me stay physically active, but they also provide a sense of balance and well-being in my life.

As the new academic year unfolds, I am committed to fostering another year of growth and development among our Mendenhall students. My focus continues to be centered on promoting enjoyable, lifelong fitness and well-being for each one of them. Together, we are "Winning for Kids", ensuring that every child has the chance to succeed both in and out of the gym.

Biography:

I am excited to be teaching Physical Education at Mendenhall Elementary. Before becoming a Longhorn, I was a teacher and coach in Virginia, Okinawa Japan, Florida, Garland ISD and in Plano ISD at Armstrong Middle School and Forman Elementary. I love teaching in Plano ISD, and I have a passion for sharing physical fitness and health with my students.

I am married to a retired Marine, and we have four amazing children and three big sweet doggies. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Special Education. I am currently in a graduate program at A&M to earn a Master's degree in Educational Psychology.

When I'm not at school, I enjoy family time, running, reading, cooking (and eating) and any outdoor activities - especially paddle boarding.
